Biden’s campaign for a second term has now a presence on TikTok.

On Sunday night during the Super Bowl, President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign launched its TikTok account, “Biden HQ,” despite concerns about the app’s security and potential sharing of user data with the Chinese government. The account posted a video of Mr. Biden answering Super Bowl-related questions and poking fun at a baseless conspiracy theory about the Kansas City Chiefs’ success. By Monday morning, the account had over 4.6 million views. According to campaign advisers, the decision to join TikTok is an effort to reach voters on all platforms and channels. The campaign is taking security precautions and is separate from the ongoing review of TikTok by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
