Marco Rubio is being considered as a potential running mate for Donald Trump.

Sources have confirmed that Florida Senator Marco Rubio is being considered as a potential running mate for former President Donald Trump in his bid to win back the White House. Trump, who is the presumptive Republican nominee, won the Florida Republican primary on Tuesday night. However, a source emphasized that the list for Trump’s vice-presidential pick is still long and no decision has been made. It is likely that a decision will not be made for some time.

This is not the first time that Rubio has been mentioned as a potential running mate. He was also on the short list to be on the ticket with Mitt Romney during the 2012 presidential election. Ultimately, Romney chose Paul Ryan as his running mate.

The news of Rubio being considered was first reported by NBC News. In an interview with Glenn Beck, Rubio stated that he had not spoken to Trump or his campaign about being considered for vice president. He also expressed his love for the country and his desire to save it, citing his family’s immigrant background and the opportunities America has provided them.

Rubio, who ran against Trump in the 2016 presidential election, is seen as someone who could help the campaign appeal to Latino voters. He endorsed Trump in a post on X, citing their past work together on issues such as the Child Tax Credit and sanctions on Venezuela and Cuba.

However, a potential Trump-Rubio ticket could face challenges due to Article II of the Constitution, which states that electors must vote for two people, one of whom cannot be from the same state as themselves.
