Prosecutor Fani Willis and another prosecutor have been ordered to give testimony concerning accusations of their relationship.

On January 31, 2024, a judge postponed the deposition of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade in relation to allegations of an improper romantic relationship between the two. The subpoenas were issued by Michael Roman, who is seeking to dismiss charges against him in a racketeering case involving former President Donald Trump. Roman also claimed that Willis and Wade financially benefited from their working relationship and that Wade had been paid over $650,000 by the district attorney’s office. In addition, Willis was set to testify in Wade’s divorce proceedings, but a temporary agreement was reached between Wade and his estranged wife, delaying the need for her testimony. The hearing, originally scheduled for February 15, will address Roman’s request to dismiss the charges against him and the allegations of misconduct between Willis and Wade.
