Akzo Nobel Reports Strong Fourth Quarter Operating Profit and Sets Ambitious Earnings Target for 2024

In its latest financial report, global paints and coatings company Akzo Nobel announced a fourth-quarter operating profit of €221 million. This marks a significant increase from the previous year’s fourth-quarter profit of €163 million.

The company’s strong performance can be attributed to its ongoing focus on operational excellence and cost management, as well as its successful pricing initiatives. Akzo Nobel’s revenue for the fourth quarter also saw a slight increase of 1% to €2.3 billion.

Looking ahead, Akzo Nobel has set its sights on even higher earnings for the future. The company has announced a target of achieving higher adjusted earnings by 2024, driven by its ongoing transformation and growth strategy.

Thierry Vanlancker, CEO of Akzo Nobel, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to reach this ambitious target, stating, “We have a clear roadmap in place to deliver on our 2024 ambitions, including further margin improvement, additional cost savings, and continued investments in innovation
