The House sergeant at arms has received a subpoena from the Justice Department requesting records related to Bush’s use of security funds. This news was first reported by Punchbowl News. Bush, a member of the progressive group “the squad,” joined Congress in 2021 after a career as an activist, nurse, and pastor.
